THE BOOK OF TAHINI

A sesame seed holds centuries of history. From its origins in Mesopotamia to its place in contemporary kitchens, The Book of Tahini explores an ingredient shaped by culture, ritual and quiet curiosity. The design was approached with the same sense of restraint, warmth and discovery. The cover draws from the book’s central line, “the magical door that opens with sesame”. This idea is realised as an arched window cut into a fabric-bound cover, revealing a delicate botanical sesame illustration beneath. Gold foil typography, deep red cloth and fine architectural line work create an object that feels tactile, ceremonial and quietly collectible. Inside, the book follows a calm, editorial structure. Generous white space, refined typography and carefully considered image placement allow the content to breathe. Recipe pages are structured with clarity and rhythm, balancing function with elegance. Imagery is used with intent, adding texture and atmosphere without overwhelming the page. Rooted in heritage, refined through craft and defined by its physical presence.
